Do you urgently need to see a GP in the evening, at night, or at the weekend?

Call the GP urgent care centre only if you need urgent medical care and you cannot wait for your own GP practice to reopen.

  • For life-threatening medical emergencies, call 112.
  • Never come to the GP urgent care centre without an appointment. Always call 085 079 18 79 first.

What happens when you call us?
When you call us, you will be connected with a triage nurse. This is a specially trained healthcare provider. The triage nurse determines the degree of urgency and what is needed. This could be:

  • Advice to help you deal with the situation yourself
  • An appointment at the GP urgent care centre
  • An appointment that requires a GP to come to your home
  • An ambulance

Keep the following information on hand:

  • BSN (national identification) number (of the person you are calling for)
  • Name, address, and date of birth (of the person you are calling for)
  • Name of GP
  • Medical history
  • Medication(s) being used

Do you need to visit the GP urgent care centre? Bring proof of identity with you!

Medicine
The GP urgent care centre is meant for urgent medical care. You cannot contact us to renew prescriptions or to provide pain relievers. Make sure you always have enough medicine on hand to get you through the night, the weekend, or public holidays. For questions about medication use, visit the apotheek.nl website.

Have you taken ill while on holiday?

  • Call your own GP during opening hours first.
  • Does your own GP advise you to call another doctor near your holiday location? Contact a GP near your holiday address on workdays between 08:00 and 17:00.
  • Do you urgently need a GP in the evening, at night or at the weekend? Call the GP urgent care centre at 085 079 18 79. You cannot visit the centre without an appointment.
